Rob Ospalik is a Partner with Baird Capital. He is responsible for Baird Capital's Portfolio Operations program. He joined Baird Capital in 1999 after two years in Baird’s Investment Banking Group. Rob previously served as a Certified Public Accountant at the Price Waterhouse LLP audit and business advisory services practice in St. Louis. He is a director of Pentagon Technologies Group, and graduated with a BS in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis.
Rob also serves on the Board of Directors for the Old Town School of Folk Music.

Dennis joined Baird Capital's U.K. Private Equity team in September 2006 from Harris Watson Holdings. With over 20 years of relevant operational and financial experience, he focuses on assisting investee company management teams to maximize the value of their businesses. Dennis trained with Singer & Friedlander, has a Joint Honours degree in Accounting & Law, and holds a master's in Business Administration from Warwick Business School.

Roberto Ferranti is a member of Baird Capital’s Portfolio Operations team and focuses on driving strategies to build value in Baird Capital Partners’ portfolio companies. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Roberto was a Vice President in the Corporate Recovery Group of Mesirow Financial Consulting, where he focused on identifying and implementing operational improvements initiatives for companies in a variety of industries. Prior to that Roberto served as a Manager in the Private Equity group of Kurt Salmon Associates, and as a Vice President in the Performance Improvement group at AlixPartners. A native of Italy, Roberto is fluent in English, Italian and French. Roberto graduated with a BA in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and received an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

Tom is a Vice President of Fund Management within Baird Capital's Portfolio Operations Team. As a member of Baird Capital, Smith’s main responsibilities include portfolio monitoring, analysis and valuation. Prior to joining Baird Captital in 2012, Smith spent six years in KPMG’s Transaction Services department providing financial due diligence services for private equity and corporate clients, with focus on buy-side acquisitions. Smith’s previous experience also includes audit and internal control compliance. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting.

Martyn joined Baird Capital in 2005. Martyn is involved in assisting portfolio companies in the development and execution of an Asia Strategy that contributes to both revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiency. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Martyn spent almost eight years in management positions with a leading contract manufacturing company, Flextronics International, in both their US and Shanghai operations. As Program Director, Martyn was primarily responsible for migrating OEM manufacturing operations from the U.S. to China. Martyn earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Janet Ni joined Baird Capital's team in 2007. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Janet served in a senior management role in a leading digital video recording company, TGC Inc., where she was primarily responsible for the outsourcing and market entry of TGC products in Asia. Janet also worked for Motorola China covering Asian outsourcing activities to contract manufacturers in East China. Janet started her career and spent 6 years in a leading contract manufacturing company holding various operational functions and was involved in the establishment of the first facility in China for Solectron Corp. Janet is fluent in both Mandarin and English and earned a Masters Degree of Technology and Equipment from Northwestern University of China in Xi'an.

Ben Teoh joined Baird Capital in 2011. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Ben worked as CFO in a medical device company, Analogic Medical Equipment Co Ltd in Shanghai, where he had overall responsibility for the finance function of the company. Prior to Analogic Medical, Ben worked as Director of Finance in a start up mobile software company E28 Ltd, and with Energizer (US FMCG) and with Avebe (Dutch food manufacturer) in Greater China. Ben started his career by spending 4 years with KPMG Peat Marwick in both audit and tax. Ben earned CPA from CPA Australia and Public Accountant from Malaysia Institute of Accountants. He received his BA in Accounting from University of South Australia.

Derek joined Baird Capital in 2006 as Senior Supply Chain Manager. Prior to Baird Capital, Derek served as a Senior Supply Chain Manager at Flextronics Shanghai where he was responsible for the supply chain management of telecommunications products. Derek also spent 5 years working for Komag (USD) in Malaysia as a Senior Purchasing Executive, overseeing procurement strategies and activities. Derek started his career in a leading freight management company in Malaysia. Derek is fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin and received his Degree of Commerce from Deakin University in Australia.

Hugh Li joined Baird Capital in 2012.Prior to joining Baird Capital, Hugh gained sufficient profession experience in many well-known companies of HPG, HCA (Hospital Corporation Of America) and Newell Rubbermaid, where he spent 7 years and was primarily responsible for global sourcing and project management. His areas of expertise also extend to Lean Manufacturing and quality system. Hugh is a fluent bilingual speaker of Mandarin and English.Hugh graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering.

Prior to joining Baird Capital, Sean accumulated substantial industrial experiences in related companies, such as Seil-seres Inc. a marine device manufacturing company, where he performed a purchasing role. He also worked for Belimo China, helping to cover outsourcing activities to contract manufacturers in China. Sean began his career at Shanghai Turbine Generator Inc. Sean is a fluent bilingual speaker of Mandarin and English. Sean graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing.

Cliff Fan joined Baird Capital in 2007. Prior to joining Baird Capital, Cliff fulfilled his role as a Quality Program Manager at GE China, where he was mainly in charge of GE’S Chinese suppliers’ quality operation management. Prior to GE China, Cliff worked at Amphenol-TCS as a supplier quality engineer, Tyco Electronics as project engineer and Foxconn as mechanical design engineer. Cliff is a fluent bilingual speaker of Mandarin and English. Cliff graduated from Wuhan Science & Technology University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
