Our U.K. Private Equity group seeks control investments in small and medium sized companies in the U.K. with enterprise values ranging between £10m and £50m. We seek to invest in profitable but undermanaged companies where the opportunity for improvement in performance exists through leveraging the global Baird operating platform. We are attracted to businesses that have sustainable revenues derived from a strategic or niche market position, but face constraints to revenue growth, profitability improvements, and enhanced returns on capital that limit their development into larger companies. We invest in companies that meet the following criteria:
- Annual turnover of between £10m and £100m
- Total deal size between £10m and £50m
- An equity requirement of between £5m and £20m
While larger U.K. companies are well integrated into the global marketplace and have the resources to take advantage of international opportunities, smaller U.K. companies face significant challenges in capitalizing on these fundamental business trends. Our global operating resources, particularly in Asia, allow our portfolio companies to access additional revenue growth and cost reduction opportunities that can directly build shareholder value.
