In an interview with Crain’s Chicago Business, Baird Capital Partner Mike Liang shares his perspective on the local IPO market in Chicago, which appears healthy amidst the pandemic.

Liang comments: "Seeing the IPO market open up again has multiple ramifications. It provides a much-needed alternative outlet for financing, especially in times when private funding can be harder to find. It does provide an alternative avenue besides M&A for exits. This is good for the ecosystem in general: It keeps strategic acquirers honest if they know companies have an option not to sell but instead go public."
