Baird Capital’s President, Gordon Pan, was recently named to Crain’s Chicago Business’s 2022 list of Notable Executives of Color in Finance.

The 2022 list includes 22 executives from a range of ethnic backgrounds across the Greater Chicago area. The honor recognizes professionals of color in corporate finance positions who have demonstrated great power to cause change in their work and community and advance minority professionals within their firm and/or field.

As President of Baird Capital, Gordon oversees the strategic, operational and organizational activities for Baird’s direct private investment business. He also serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee for Baird Capital's venture capital and global private equity funds. Gordon is also a member of Baird's Executive Committee, making him the most senior Asian American professional in the firm.

“Gordon is a visionary leader, overseeing Baird Capital’s strategic and cultural evolution over the past twelve years,” said Katie Schoen, Vice President of Baird Capital. “He balances a focus on continuous improvement within the team, generating results for investors, and creating an inclusive environment where associates can be their best. This includes his championship of diversity efforts within Baird, being a mentor to many, and a desire to engage with associates throughout the entire firm.”
