Baird Capital’s Global Private Equity team has announced the sale of its investment in Vega Global Group (“Vega”) to Forte, a leading AV integrator.

Vega is a global systems integrator specializing in digital workplace and audiovisual solutions, video conferencing and collaboration technologies. Baird Capital initially invested in Vega in 2020, with the beginning of the investment impacted by significant disruption to the AV industry from the Covid shutdown and supply disruptions.

Baird Capital supported Vega by standardizing processes and reporting across the platform, implementing a single global finance system and expanding the company’s geographic footprint through its investment in Kodum in 2021. Under Baird Capital’s leadership, Vega returned to sustained growth and meaningfully improved profitability.

"It has been a rewarding journey partnering with Vega from its founder-led roots under Laurie Chow and working alongside Steve Medeiros, Dickson Ho and the broader management team to further establish the company as the leading pan-Asian VC integrator,” said Dennis Hall, Chairman of Vega and Partner with Baird Capital. “The business is well positioned for its next phase of growth, and we believe Forte is a strong partner to build on that momentum."

Steve Medeiros, CEO of Vega, said: "Baird Capital has been a tremendous partner throughout our growth journey. They took the time to understand our business, our people and our vision, and they consistently supported us through both opportunities and challenges. Beyond providing capital, they were a collaborative partner who helped us strengthen the organization and execute on our growth strategy. We are proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for their partnership."
